About Courtney Innis

Courtney Innis BSc (Hons), GOsC 7696 is an accomplished and dynamic Senior Osteopath who prioritises mobility and tissue resilience. He graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in 2010 and has since built a diverse clinical portfolio, including a significant period working within the NHS in Westminster.

A former 3-time British Youth Karate Champion, Courtney holds a Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate. This elite athletic background gives him an extensive understanding of human movement, biomechanics, and the specific demands of high-level sports rehabilitation.

Clinical Expertise & Experience:

Courtney uses a “puzzle-solving” analytical mindset-influenced by his membership in Mensa-to resolve complex musculoskeletal conditions.

  • NHS-Trained MSK Care: Honed skills in treating diverse musculoskeletal conditions alongside GPs and orthopaedic specialists in Central London.
  • Sports Injury Rehabilitation: Expert diagnosis and management for athletes, informed by his own career as an international karate competitor.
  • Classical & Visceral Osteopathy: Addressing the body as one functional unit to alleviate pain and restore health.
  • Medical Acupuncture & Cupping: Integrated into treatments to improve circulation and resolve deep tissue tension.
  • Global Perspective: Two years of private practice in Wellington, New Zealand, delivering personalised care to individuals of all ages.

Professional Philosophy

Courtney believes that effective treatment requires looking beyond the immediate area of pain to understand how the body functions as a whole. His goal is to build long-term resilience, empowering patients to return to their peak physical state-whether they are professional competitors or managing the physical stresses of daily life.

The Osteopathic & Holistic Approach:

  • Treating the Person, Not Just the Symptoms: Identifying root causes by assessing how different parts of the body are interconnected.
  • Active Recovery & Performance: Designing rehabilitation plans that go beyond “pain-free” to “physically resilient.”
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Applying advanced clinical reasoning to complex, chronic cases.
  • Biomechanical Balance: Correcting postural and movement patterns to prevent injury recurrence.
