3-Step Guide for AXA Patients

1. See your GP/Consultant.
2. Call AXA for your auth code and session limit.
   1. Our AXA Provider numbers are: Canada Water (ZZ03495) Stratford (ZZ03496).
3. Book online (You will receive an email where you can supply your membership Number and Authorisation Code on your registration).
   1. Before you book with AXA – Ensure you have:
      1. Your Membership Number and Authorisation Code.
      2. The number of sessions authorised (e.g., “6 sessions”).
      3. Confirmed your specific condition is covered for Physiotherapy, Osteopathy or Chiropractic.

Bodytonic Clinic has a dedicated team of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), including fully qualified Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists registered with Bupa. We provide direct billing for Bupa members, ensuring you can focus entirely on your recovery.

Using Bupa for Radial Shockwave Therapy: We are a Bupa-recognised provider for Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT). Bupa typically covers Shockwave for chronic conditions like Plantar Fasciitis when conservative treatments have not worked.

We are pleased to announce that Dan Tomassi is now a Bupa-recognised provider. Bupa members can now access specialist Chiropractic care at our clinics as part of their integrated MSK Journey to Optimal Health.

3-Step Guide for Bupa Patients:

1. Request Authorisation: Call Bupa and request a Pre-authorisation Code for your specific treatment (e.g., “Osteopathy,” “Chiropractic,” “Physiotherapy,” or “Shockwave“).
2. Provide our IDs:
   • For Physiotherapy & Shockwave: Give Bupa our Clinic Name: “Bodytonic Clinic”.
   • For Chiropractic & Osteopathy: Bupa requires the specific Practitioner Number. Please View Our Team to find your specific therapist’s Bupa ID (including Dan Tomassi for Chiropractic).
3. Book Online: Select the “Bupa” category on our booking system. You will receive an email to provide your membership number and auth code.

Important for Bupa Shockwave: Bupa typically authorises Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) only under your Physiotherapy or Osteopathy benefit. If you require Shockwave, please ensure you mention this specifically to your Bupa representative to ensure it is covered under the correct clinical code.

At bodytonic clinic, we offer direct billing for Aviva members for specific specialist services.

What is Covered:

• MSK Physiotherapy: Direct billing available for Natalia Villegas, Noah Longley, and Anna Lofts.
• Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT): Covered for chronic tendon conditions (usually authorised under your Physiotherapy benefit).

Important Coverage Note: Currently, we are unable to accept Aviva for Osteopathy, Chiropractic, or Massage treatments. If you wish to use bodytonic clinic as you provider you will need to speak to AVIVA and ask if you can seek treatment outside their provider network. If AVIVA accept you will pay privately and claim back via reimbursement.

Bodytonic Clinic is a preferred provider for Vitality Health (formerly PRU Health). We offer direct billing for MSK Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, and Osteopathy sessions.

Vitality Coverage for Shockwave Therapy: Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is available for Vitality members, typically covered under your Physiotherapy or Osteopathy benefit. This is a highly effective, insurance-approved treatment for chronic tendon issues.

1. Get your Authorisation: Log into your Vitality Member Zone or call them to request a Pre-authorisation Code.
2. Confirm Sessions: Vitality usually authorizes a set number of sessions (e.g., 6 sessions). Ensure you know your limit and any excess on your policy.

Bodytonic Clinic is a recognised provider for Cigna UK. We provide expert care for Cigna members across our Osteopathy, MSK Physiotherapy, and Chiropractic services.

Using Cigna for Shockwave Therapy: Cigna typically covers Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) when it is part of a Physiotherapy or Osteopathy treatment plan for chronic conditions. We recommend providing Cigna with the specific procedure code T5780 when requesting authorisation for Shockwave.

1. Request Authorisation: Call Cigna to obtain your Authorisation Number and confirm the number of sessions allowed.
2. Confirm Your Coverage: Ask Cigna if your policy is “Direct Settlement” or “Pay and Reclaim.”
   1. Note: Most Cigna patients pay in-clinic and receive a detailed receipt to claim back 100% of the cost from Cigna.

2. Get your Receipt: We will provide you with a full, itemised receipt including the therapist’s registration number (GOSC, GCC, or HCPC).
3. Submit to Simplyhealth: Upload your receipt to the Simplyhealth app or website for a reimbursement.

Accreditations & Provider Requirements

Most cash plans (like Health Shield, Simplyhealth, and Westfield Health) require your practitioner to be registered with a recognised professional body. While our team is specifically registered with GOsC, HCPC, GCC, and FHT, these are typically accepted as equivalents or higher-tier qualifications for the following commonly requested associations:

• ISRM (Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists)
• SST (Society of Sports Therapists)
• STA / STO (Sports Therapy Association / Organisation)

Note: If your provider specifically asks for a CNHC or SMA number, our practitioners’ FHT, GCC, GOsC or HCPC registration is what we would supply and add to your invoice. Also that ITEC when applicable to the treatment. Please verify this with your insurer before your session.
