Healix Health Services Accepted at Bodytonic Clinic

We are pleased to announce that Bodytonic Clinic is a recognised provider for Healix Health Services. If you have private health insurance managed by Healix, you can use your policy to fund your treatments at our clinics in Stratford and Canada Water.

Bodytonic Clinic operates on a Self-Pay basis. Patients settle their account at the time of their appointment and then submit their receipt to Healix for reimbursement.

To facilitate your claim, we provide a Specialist Insurance Receipt via email immediately after your treatment. This document includes all the mandatory information Healix requires to process a reclaim:

  • Practitioner Name & Clinical Qualification
  • Professional Registration Numbers (GOsC for Osteopathy, GCC for Chiropractic, or HCPC for Physiotherapy)
  • Clinic Address & Contact Details
  • Detailing Treatment Description & Cost

Important: Your Responsibility to Verify Cover

Before booking your appointment, it is your responsibility as the policyholder to ensure that your specific Healix plan covers your chosen treatment at our clinic.

Healix offers a vast range of policies with different levels of cover. To avoid any disappointment or declined claims, we strongly advise you to check the following with Healix directly:

  • Policy Eligibility: Does your plan include Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, of Shockwave?
  • Authorisation: Do you have a valid Pre-authorisation Code for this course of treatment?
  • GP Referral: Does your specific policy require a GP referral before you see a specialist? (Common for Physiotherapy).
  • Financial Limits: Are there annual limits, “per-session” caps, or an Annual Excess that you must pay yourself?

Bodytonic Clinic provides the documentation to support your claim, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement and are not responsible for claims declined by your insurer.

3 Steps to Managing Your Healix Claim

  1. Verify Your Benefits: Call Healix or log into your member portal to confirm your outpatient cover and obtain an authorisation code.
  2. Attend & Settle: Book your session in SE16 or E15. All sessions are paid for at the clinic via card or contactless.
  3. Submit Your Receipt: Upload the digital receipt we provide to the Healix to initiate your reclaim.

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. Healix Health Services typically requires you to see a GP or have a triage consultation before they authorise treatment for Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Shockwave or Chiropractic. Please contact Healix directly to confirm their specific requirements for your policy.

No. We operate a “Pay and Reclaim” policy for Healix members. You pay for your treatment at the clinic, and we provide you with a full medical receipt to submit to Healix for reimbursement.

You do not need an authorisation code to book your appointment with us, as you are paying directly. However, we strongly recommend you get authorisation from Healix before you visit to guarantee they will pay you back.

Some insurance policies have a “session cap” (e.g., they only pay up to £50 per session). If our appointment fee is higher than this cap, you will be unable to claim the difference. Please check your policy limits before booking.

Generally, no. Healix usually only reimburses for clinically necessary treatments like Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Shockwave and Chiropractic. Wellness treatments like massage are rarely covered.

Your receipt will include the practitioner’s full name, their professional registration number (HCPC, GOsC, or GCC), the date of treatment, and the treatment type. This is everything Healix requires to process your claim.

Radial Shockwave is often covered but frequently requires a separate authorisation from standard Physio/Osteo/Chiro. Please check with Healix specifically for “Shockwave” coverage before booking.
