Tom graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2013 with a bachelors in Osteopathy. Upon graduation he moved to Hamilton, New Zealand. Here he worked in a large busy clinic where patients ranged from young children to the elderly, amateur sports people to Olympic medallists and city workers to dairy farmers.
During this time he was able to work with and be mentored by some of the city’s best osteopaths gaining invaluable experience. Looking for new challenges Tom moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2016. Here he worked in two large city clinics where clientele were predominantly of working age in sedate working environments.
It was through this he developed a particular interest in ergonomics and helping people change how they approach office work in order to best benefit themselves, something he is still passionate about today. Prior to returning to the UK in early 2019, Tom spent a year working as an osteopath and clinical tutor to final year osteopathy students in a hospital environment in Goa, India. This was a unique cultural and professional experience working and living with hospital staff and local community. He describes it as a once in a lifetime experience that allowed him to use his experience and knowledge in a way he had not done so before.

Bio continued
Tom utilises a structural style of osteopathy in his treatments. Predominantly using techniques such as soft tissue, myofascial release, trigger points, mobilisation, passive stretching and manipulation.
He is also a keen believer in empowering his patients through self management often in the form of lifestyle changes, stretches and exercise prescription, mindfulness and much more. Tom is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and has membership with a number of private healthcare providers including BUPA. In addition to Osteopathy he is also available for sports and deep tissues massage. Outside of Osteopathy he enjoys travel and is always on the look out for the next weird and wonderful destination to visit.
He also enjoys attending live music and sporting events, a lifelong fan of Harlequins RFC and relatively new follower of Brentford FC. For his own health, fitness and wellbeing he has a keen interest in yoga (particularly Yin), urban cycling and attending his local parkrun or goodgym.
