He was initially attracted to Osteopathy through his own sporting injuries and following an osteopathic treatment which successfully addressed the cause of the problem (which wasn’t the painful area). This concept of tensegrity and putting the problem within context fascinated him and inspired a career change. After four years of studying at British School of Osteopathy he now enjoys working with patients to develop plans and give them the confidence to achieve their own goals.
Clinical Pilates aligns well with osteopathic narrative to increase postural awareness whilst performing bespoke functional movements and improve core stability. The sessions work well for patients recovering from injuries to improve coordination, muscular strengthening and flexibility and to proactively prevent injuries by increasing body awareness. Matt gained his Level 2 Clinical Pilates Instructor qualification from the Australian, Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.
As a Massage Therapist he delivers professional, effective treatments focussed on reducing muscular tensions to support active lifestyles, demanding job roles and pregnancy related issues. He has worked with a range of athletes (Marathon runners, triathletes and volleyball players to name a few) supporting them with regular treatment to help clients achieve their goals.
Matt is registered with AXA PPP, AVIVA, CIGNA, WPA and Vitality Health insurance companies.
