James Gill B.Ost

James studied at the British School of Osteopathy between 2002 and 2006 and since then has specialised and developed his skills in sports injuries. Prior to undertaking his osteopathic studies, James was a sports scholar. This additional knowledge and background provides James with the ability to assist in the care of his patients.

“Ultimately I consider myself to be a structural Osteopath – I have a hands on approach to treatment and enjoy the physical aspect of my work, although I thrive on helping patients out of injury and reaching their treatment goals.”

James’ treatments vary depending on your individual needs, with advice given to patients on work, lifestyle, exercise and dietary issues. He encourage patients take an active role in their recovery. Learning and understand your injury as well a management away from the clinic can really improve the treatment provided and fundamentally reduce that chance of injury in the future.

Since 2007 James has built a solid reputation in the Canada Water, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Surrey Quays, Wapping & Stratford areas. James specialises in understanding his patient’s symptoms and with his calm demeanour ensures his patients feel at ease throughout the process. James uses a combination of techniques including soft tissue and sports massage, joint articulation and direct joint mobilisation as well as dry needling (modern western acupuncture).

James networks with other healthcare professionals, including podiatrists, nutritionists, personal trainers, pilates instructors and physiotherapists. James also invests time into continual professional development, by attending relevant courses and lectures.
