Jade Darwich bodytonic clinic SE16 London

Jade is a qualified osteopath and registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. She holds a Master’s degree from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Kent, South-East England.

Her passion for helping others through touch and movement began while practising and teaching yoga in Paris, France, where she grew up. Prior to her osteopathic studies, Jade trained to be a fully certified Hatha yoga instructor in the picturesque foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India. Here she travelled to many different schools to teach and develop her own practice. She particularly enjoys this classical form of yoga rooted in traditional teachings, encompassing yoga postures but also breathing exercises, full body relaxation, a healthy diet, positive thinking and meditation. This practice allowed her to deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection, concepts she would later adopt and integrate into her osteopathic practice extensively as well.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience was a turning point in her life and she became passionate about learning how the different body systems work together in unison and how we can use this knowledge to help others improve their health and well-being. During her time abroad, she developed an interest in Eastern Medicine and took introductory courses in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Ayurvedic Medicine to broaden her horizons, exploring a more holistic approach to healthcare mostly focused on looking at the root cause of the pain rather than the symptoms.

After this journey through self-discovery, Jade knew that she wanted to become a therapist and help others, supporting them to achieve long-term pain relief and well-being. She first discovered Osteopathy in France, where she received treatment for her long-standing aches and pains and found the treatment to be incredibly effective. It was with these highly skilled osteopathy practitioners that she witnessed first-hand how helpful osteopathy could be in treating a wide array of conditions or used more generally for preventive and maintenance purposes.

“What I love about Osteopathy is this particularity to bring western and eastern medicines together, based on a solid anatomical background while adopting holistic principles and engaging with the body’s own self-healing mechanism.”

Jade moved to the UK 6 years ago to pursue her osteopathic studies in south-east England. Following graduation, she moved to London to begin her career working in two other multidisciplinary clinics before settling at bodytonic Clinic in spring 2023. At those previous locations, she gained invaluable experience in her formative professional years treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions as well as treating patients from various specialist clinics such as women’s health, maternity, paediatrics, desk and sports-related conditions.

In her osteopathic practice, she adopts a biopsychosocial approach with a tailor-made treatment adapted to patients’ specific needs and uses a combination of techniques including manipulative-structural osteopathy, cranial osteopathy and visceral osteopathy, as well as soft-tissue work and sports massage. As a keen believer in integrated healthcare, Jade likes to empower her patients to take action and be at the core of their recovery process through lifestyle changes and exercise prescriptions. She also likes to incorporate yoga, breathing and mindfulness exercises into her programmes.

“I like to create a safe and nurturing space in my practice where I can be part of my patient’s journey towards a better health and vitality”
She enjoys treating all types of patients and conditions but has a particular interest in women’s health and maternity, and is set to undertake a two-year post-graduate diploma in Women’s health osteopathy at the Molinari Institute of Health in 2024. A lifelong interest in learning and self-development, Jade enjoys investing her time in continuing her professional development and is looking forward to starting new courses such as APPI Matwork Clinical Pilates and medical acupuncture (Dry needling).

Jade likes to engage with different health organisations worldwide and previously volunteered for the NGO EliseCare which brings medical and psychological support to civilian populations in conflict zones. In 2017 she was involved in a one-month mission through the NGO Texan-French Alliance for the Arts to facilitate the implementation of an educational arts healing program for children in a refugee camp in northern Iraq. She has also previously worked on similar missions with the same NGO in Houston Texas where she worked on the development and implementation of a pilot educational arts healing program for children in Houston-based communities and schools.

In her free time, Jade is passionate about travelling the world to new destinations, discovering new cultures and is always ready for the next outdoor adventure. She has a particular fondness for hot and tropical destinations and wild ecologically rich islands. She continues to enjoy practising any form of yoga as well as swimming and outdoor activities such as watersports/trekking/horse riding/skiing and much more. Living in London, she likes to explore the city’s vibrant neighbourhoods including new exhibitions, restaurants and live music venues.

Self-aware of her own health and well-being, she practises regular detox and yoga retreats and adopts a “plant over-processed” diet. She is always keen to share her passion for healthy lifestyle advice with her patients.

Jade is fluent in both French and English, and such sessions can be comfortably conducted in either language.

At bodytonic Clinic Jade provides Osteopathy services for both adults and paediatric patients as well as offering deep tissue massage and sports massage.
